I live in the Cooley Peninsula, County Louth. I’ve been lucky to have the opportunity to put all my nutrition training into practice over the last 13+ years with my own three children, having been through the trials and tribulations of breastfeeding, weaning,
preschool nutrition and nutrition for the primary school child and this gives me additional and a very realistic insight when working with families to address nutritional issues.
I love to cook and bake. Happiness is filling my kitchen with delicious smells of freshly baked breads and all things home-cooked. I adore pouring over recipe books to try and keep the menu interesting and healthy for my family and this feeds into my advice for patients
I am passionate about making a healthy lifestyle fun and achievable. I live in a small, rural community and am a member of Fit4Life in my local running club Glenmore AC! Every year, we run a healthy living programme in conjunction with the local secondary school Bush PP.
This has been a very successful community initiative and I get enormous satisfaction from seeing people move from the couch to re-discovering the joy of being physically active and eating healthier. Many of our participants join our Fit4Life group after the 6 week programme so it really helps them to make a change for life.
Check out this clip when RTE Operation Transformation came to visit our programme in January 2016!
We also had a visit from IrishTV Louth Matters who were keen to cover our local project.
